Procedures for goods clearance in Iran
Goods clearance in Iran is done through the country’s customs system and based on the rules and regulations of this system. The general stages of goods clearance in Iran are:
- Order registration: In this step, the product order must be registered. To place an order, you need documents such as business card, original invoice, original bill of lading, original export declaration (in case of goods export), copy of bank statement and copy of operating license.
- Entry of the goods to the customs: after the order is registered, the goods enter the customs and are checked by the customs officers.
- Registering a customs declaration: After the goods enter the customs, a customs declaration is registered. This declaration contains details about the type of goods, quantity, value and country of origin.
- Evaluation of goods: In this step, the value of the goods is evaluated by customs experts. This evaluation is done based on the customs rules and regulations and based on the information recorded in the declaration.
- Payment of duties and clearance of goods: After evaluation, customs duties are calculated and paid. After paying the duties, the goods are cleared and delivered to the customer.
